The NACK Network offers a live webinar, hosted by MATEC NetWorks, every month to engage and educate those of you that are interested in learning more about nanotechnology related topics. Join us for a webinar led by nanotechnology content experts. Great for faculty, students, administrators and industry! (Certificate of Attendance on request for professional development credit.)Presenter: Christina Arisio, Assistant Professor at Ivy Tech Community College Self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) are often used to provide an interface between technology and biology, serving as a linker or "molecular glue" for the immobilization of biological structures or capture of bioanalytes for sensor purposes. This talk will focus on the functionalization of Si and III-V (nitride) semiconductor surfaces with silane SAMs. Monolayer deposition, patterning, characterization, additional synthesis, and bio applications will be discussed.
