This 5-day Laser Material Processing workshop will include an introduction to light and lasers, laser safety, and laser applications. There will be a focus on the application of lasers in a variety of manufacturing processes. There will be several hands-on laser material processing laboratory activities in etching, cutting, and welding. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear about the utilization of lasers in manufacturing operations from industry representatives. Tours of area companies will be the highlighted. This workshop is intended for educators or industry professionals. A stipend will be provided to cover travel expenses and workshop registration is free.
