DESCRIPTION:This course is designed to introduce teachers to the science of
  viticulture and current practices for establishing a commercial vineyard. 
 Topics covered will include site selection\, site preparation\, varietal se
 lection\, equipment\, first season establishment\, vine growth development 
 and training\, trellis systems\, weed control\, and vine disease control.
\
 nParticipants will receive a comprehensive binder of the course content –
  “An Introduction to Viticulture”\, contact information and resources f
 or additional Viticulture services. Teachers will be prepared to integrate 
 a viticulture component within their agriculture\, horticulture or science 
 curriculum.
