DESCRIPTION:The Ethical Hacking Course is an advanced course that covers ma
 ny of the common attacks used by hackers to exploit systems\, such as SQL i
 njection\, spear phishing and buffer overflows. The instructor performs a l
 ive demonstration of these techniques and shows you how to create\, pack\, 
 and deploy malware in a realistic network environment. The class also inclu
 des demonstrations and labs on IPv6 Exploitation\, Denial of Service\, and 
 extracting passwords from RAM\, and more. Students will get access to 19 ha
 nds on labs where they will get to attack systems and use tools part of eve
 ry hacker’s toolkit\, including Poison Ivy\, Dark Comet\, Metasploit\, an
 d Armitage. Attendees of this workshop will better understand the hacker’
 s perspective and methodology. This course will be taught by Jesse Varsalon
 e\, who the developed the labs and has experience as a penetration tester a
 nd red-teamer.\n\n*Note: This training opportunity is for Teachers/Facult
 y. Verification of teaching status and institution will be requested.\n\n
 PLEASE NOTE: Although there is a $99 fee for this training\, there will be 
 a no-show fee of $500 billed directly to your institution for each register
 ed individual who fails to cancel their registration a minimum of 10 busine
 ss days prior to the first session of this course\n\nCSSIA is pleased to 
 offer continuing opportunities for faculty attending CSSIA's Faculty Develo
 pment Workshops (FDW) to obtain graduate credit. Faculty can earn 3 graduat
 e credits through the University of Illinois - Springfield by enrolling in 
 an online course and doing some additional follow-up work (describing how y
 ou would integrate FDW knowledge into your programs). Tuition for this opti
 on is about $1200\, and you would be responsible for paying your own tuitio
 n. Your institution also may have a tuition reimbursement program that woul
 d support this effort. The University of Illinois - Springfield has been of
 fering graduate credit to community college faculty for events like this fo
