DESCRIPTION:CSSIA is now offering an introduction to Linux course with curr
 iculum\, lab exercises\, teaching materials and exam questions. The Linux P
 rofessional Institute (LPI) has started the LPI Academy to help academic in
 stitutions teach Linux. During this session the LPI Director of Instructor 
 Operations will provide train the trainer instruction designed to help facu
 lty teach a new introduction to Linux course. This new course will prepare 
 students for the LPI Linux Essentials Certificate of Achievement. To learn

 is open to all instructors currently teaching Information Communication Tec
 hnology.\n\n*Note: This training opportunity is for Teachers/Faculty. Ver

  NOTE: Although there is a $99 fee for the workshop\, there will be an addi
 tional no-show fee of $500 billed directly to your institution for each reg
 istered individual who fails to cancel their registration a minimum of 10 b
 usiness days prior to the first session of this course.\n\nCSSIA is pleas
 ed to offer continuing opportunities for faculty attending CSSIA's Faculty 
 Development Workshops (FDW) to obtain graduate credit. Faculty can earn 3 g
 raduate credits through the University of Illinois - Springfield by enrolli
 ng in an online course and doing some additional follow-up work (describing
  how you would integrate FDW knowledge into your programs). Tuition for thi
 s option is about $1200\, and you would be responsible for paying your own 
 tuition. Your institution also may have a tuition reimbursement program tha
 t would support this effort. The University of Illinois - Springfield has b
 een offering graduate credit to community college faculty for events like t
