DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe EvaluateUR Method is used to evaluate programs in diffe
 rent educational settings: independent undergraduate research\, classroom-b
 ased research\, and collegiate engineering and technology design competitio
 ns. The EvaluateUR Method measures student learning by providing statistica
 lly reliable assessments in a wide variety of outcome categories\, includin
 g disciplinary and employability skills.\n\nA unique feature of the Evaluat
 eUR Method is the growth of student academic self-awareness\, often called 
 metacognition. The EvaluateUR Method serves as a tool for students\, helpin
 g them build that awareness and use it to improve their learning.\n\nEvalua
 teUR-CURE (E-CURE) is a version of the method specifically designed for stu
 dents conducting research in a course (often called a CURE). E-CURE allows 
 instructors to select a sub-set from a list of knowledge and skills - refer
 red to as outcome categories - that best fit the learning goals of their co
 urse. This feature enables faculty to focus on a 'core' set of outcomes of 
 particular relevance to their course research assignment(s). There also is 
 an option for the CURE instructor to add additional learning outcomes.\n\nE
 -CURE includes several options: (1) two-semester CURE\; (2) one-semester CU
 RE\; and (3) shorter duration/smaller scale research project.\n\nTo learn m
