Description

Integrating ArcGIS and Pictometry in the Classroom Presented by: Scott Jeffrey MS, GISP

This hands-on exploration will demonstrate how high resolution Pictometry can be integrated with ArcGIS desktop to address a wide range of real-world scenarios. Participants will learn how to navigate and use oblique and orthographic Pictometry imagery in both the ArcGIS environment and the Pictometry On-Line web interface and how to integrate the two for analysis and presentation. Exercises covering topics ranging from environmental assessment, E-911, land use classification, and facilities management will be presented and provided to attendees for their use in the classroom. Participants are encouraged to bring GIS data with them that they are currently using in the classroom so that they can produce material for future use.
