NVEELC 2022

Attendees at NVEELC 2022

The 2022 National Viticulture and Enology Extension Leadership Conference (NVEELC) took place

August 14-17, 2022 in California’s San Joaquin Valley,

the largest, most diverse viticulture production area in the U.S. It offered the rare opportunity to see wine, table and raisin grape production up close, at the height of the growing season, and to tour Gallo’s Livingston Winery, the largest wine production facility on earth, at the start of harvest. NVEELC gathers extension and outreach specialists for professional development, best-practice sharing, research and regional reports, collaboration and dialog on the unique challenges in V&E extension in America.

About NVEELC

Organized by regional hosts with support from NGRA, NVEELC is a grassroots effort that annually gathers wine, juice, table and raisin grape extension professionals working within and outside of traditional cooperative extension. For this unique community of practice, it offers professional development, opportunities to share research and regional reports and best-practices, and fosters collaboration and dialogue, helping viticulture and enology extension professionals stay apprised of industry challenges across the country. Tours of vineyards, labs and other local viticulture and enology research and extension assets is an important part of the agenda for this event, which is held in a different grape-growing region each year.
