ABOUT THE EVENT
T-Town Play. Explore. Learn is a free, community wide event at the Tacoma Dome on April 28-29, 2023. The event is a unique hands-on experience for the Tacoma and South Puget Sound community to engage with City departments, celebrate the Tacoma Dome's 40th Anniversary, explore career and trades opportunities, and showcase the leadership of Tacoma's youth. It is surely the "don't miss event of the year".
In the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall, Tacoma Public Schools Career and Technical Education Department (in partnership with Korsmo Construction) will be hosting two annual events. On Friday the 28th it will be hosting the Jobs253 Trades & Hiring Fair. On Saturday April 29th, it will host its Lead253 Student Leadership Fair and Celebration on Saturday the 29th.
At the Drones @ The Dome both, attendees can register their drone(s) with the FAA, take TRUST training and get certified, learn about 107 licensing, explore rapidly expanding Drone career opportunities, and learn the do's/do nots for the safe and lawful operation of drones in Tacoma's airspace (which is one of the most complex in the United States)
Food and beverage, along with entertainment, will be provided as part of the Tacoma Dome’s 40th Anniversary celebrations.
