These slides, on Carbon Capture and Storage and Potential CO2 Solutions, were presented on January 21, 2010 as part of the High Tech Workforce Initiative (HTWI). HTWI is part of the Center for Workforce Development and a member of the Division of Academic and Student Affairs at the Maricopa Community Colleges. These slides were presented by Brad Bates, who researched and determined the parasitic load created by carbon capture in different types of power plants. This presentation covers curriculum that explores daily student energy usage, how coal is made into electricity, carbon sequestration, carbon reuse and recycling, and possible careers in carbon reuse and recycling.
