This 86-page handbook is provided by the Nanotechnology Applications and Career Knowledge Support Center (NACK Center) and is intended to familiarize nanotechnology program personnel with practices of other nanotechnology programs. This handbook "is a compilation of outreach and recruitment practices used by nanotechnology and other college programs." A table of contents and the following sections are included: Introduction - Where to Start; Part I: Nanotechnology Industry, Outreach and Partnerships; Part II: Student Outreach and Recruitment; Nanotechnology AAS Best Practices - A Reflection; and Special Thanks. Subsection topics include cold calls, cold call emails, working with marketing and PR departments, high school outreach, open houses, student surveys, and more.
