This 5-page Incubation and Entrepreneurship Case Study, provided by Internet Scout Research Group, is part of the Working Partners Toolkit. This toolkit was designed to help educators strengthen their relationship with industry and includes six case studies. The case studies are gathered from successfully initiated and sustained education-industry partnerships and are intended to help users gain tips and inspiration for implementing and sustaining industry partnerships.

This case study discusses The Facility, which is co-located on the campus of Edmonds Community College with-and supported by- the National Center for Materials Technology Education (MatEdU). The Facility consists of labs and classrooms used by Edmond's academic program by day and by industry partners and innovators to train, test, create, engage, and collaborate during the time when the labs and equipment are not in use. This paper covers the creation of The Facility and its uses by faculty and industry members.

This paper includes the following sections: Key Outcomes, Summary, Impacts, Challenges, Implementation Strategies, and Additional Resources. The Working Partners Toolkit and other case studies are available to view separately.
