This study, from the Mid-Pacific Information and Communication Technologies Center (MPICT), the California Community Colleges ICT Collaborative and Center for Excellence, surveyed California employer representatives about the U.S. Department of Labor's Information Technology (IT) Competency model and competencies in CCC ICT related programs and coursework. The study found that CCC ICT programs should adopt "at least the Federal DOL model, base standard IT program common core student learning outcomes (SLOs) on them, and use those standards to align very diverse program offerings to improve articulation and transfer – and job placement."
