Course Description:

This course, titled Experimental Testing of Vehicles and provided by the Center for Advanced Automotive Technology (CAAT), is designed for community college students and automotive test technicians in the area of vehicle experimental testing. It is suitable for inclusion in an automotive engineering curriculum. Students will perform practice laboratory-based studies on various sensors and data acquisition systems (DAQ), setting up test procedures, wiring up sensors for measurements, conducting experiments, recording experimental data, and analyzing test results. Gaining experience on estimating experimental vehicle characteristics and writing a test report is a major part of this course. Some of the laboratory activities included in this course require MATLAB/Simulink simulation software.

Course Contents:

The Experimental Testing of Vehicles Syllabus offers a week-by-week breakdown of lessons and units in the course and also includes a course description and learning outcomes. The course is divided into fifteen weeks of instruction. Each week contains a topical lecture for the week and any corresponding laboratory or projects. The files included in this .zip file do not contain answer keys.
