This module, provided by the Center for Nanotechnology Education (Nano-Link), introduces students to sampling strategies for airborne nanomaterials. This module was developed in collaboration with the Midwest Emerging Technologies Public Health and Safety Training (METPHAST) Program. Included in this module is a video that runs 53:05 minutes, a video that runs 08:36 minutes, a hands-on activity entitled Instrument Response as a Function of Particle Size, and presentation slides. The learning objectives for this module are as follows:
- Summarize the steps involved in assessing exposures to nanomaterials in the workplace
- Describe ways to anticipate and recognize hazards
- Identify issues specific to sampling airborne nanomaterials
- Select the right instrument and analytical methods to meet the sampling objective
Users must create a free account in order to access all of the materials.
