This module, provided by the Center for Nanotechnology Education (Nano-Link), introduces students to sampling strategies for airborne nanomaterials. This module was developed in collaboration with the Midwest Emerging Technologies Public Health and Safety Training (METPHAST) Program. Included in this module is a video that runs 64:57 minutes, a video that runs 05:34 minutes, a hands-on activity entitled Dermal Exposures from Powder Handling, and presentation slides. The learning objectives for this module are as follows:
- Prioritize nanomaterial exposures based on route, i.e. inhalation vs. dermal exposures
- Recognize determinants of dermal exposures to nanomaterials
- Describe qualitative and quantitative approaches to assessing dermal exposures
- Identify sampling and analytical methods to assess dermal exposures to nanomaterials
Users must create a free account in order to access all of the materials.
