Module 5 - Smart Technology- Gathering the Right Data
This video workshop, published by Motlow State Community College and led by Dean Phillips, is part of an eight-video series from the SMARTT Project. In the video, Phillips discusses the role of educators in manufacturing and technology. The first part of the presentation focuses on workforce development education and how different educational areas, such as drone inspections and Python programming, are approached. Phillips then details how Covid-19 impacted these educational efforts. Next, the changing nature of data analytics and how it applies to educators to improve course performance is considered. Artificial intelligence and self learning are explored in this data context with examples. Finally, Phillips considers the future of data analytics for manufacturing educators and describes personal projects. The video recording runs 25:04 minutes in length.
