This 22-page report, published by the Polytechnic University of Turin, describes the design and construction of AIDA, an underwater remotely operated vehicle. This report was created by the PoliTOcean team, a group that participated in the 2021 MATE ROV competitions Explorer class. MATE ROV is a global underwater robotics competition for STEM students. The competition includes Explorer, Ranger, Navigator, and Scout classes.

In the report, an abstract summarizes the project. The design rationale is then highlighted alongside a system interconnection diagram. Following this, the report describes the vehicle core system, mission specific features, safety concerns and features, and the results of testing and troubleshooting. A project management section details member roles and budgetary information. The conclusion outlines challenges, lessons learned, and areas for improvement. An appendix is also provided, which includes an operational safety checklist and a table with budgetary information.

Manuals for each class and technical documentation from other teams are available to view separately.
