The National Science Foundation has provided grant funding for the Mid Pacific Information and Communications Technologies Center to coordinate, improve, and promote ICT education, with an emphasis on 2-year colleges, in northern California, northern Nevada, southern Oregan, Hawaii and the Pacific Territories. MPICT's 4.5 day Summer 2009 Faculty Development week at City College of San Francisco's campus will provide "train the trainer" sessions to prepare faculty to teach new courses, pedagogical tactics like integrating experimental learning into classrooms, and technical tools to expand and enhance educational experiences.
