Join Randall Lloyd, Agriculture Awareness Coordinator, land owner, and turbine owner for a presentation about the Twin Groves Wind Farm site in eastern McLean County. This is the largest wind farm owned by Horizon Wind Energy east of the Mississippi River. Learn about wind turbines and the role McLean County has in today’s economy and renewable energy production. Mr. Lloyd will present a narrated PowerPoint describing the development, construction, and operations of the Twin Groves Wind Farm, home to four wind turbines. Randy’s involvement as the owner of farmland has expanded his interest in defining the partnership between production agriculture and renewable energy.
