Madison Area Technical College is once again pleased to offer Renewable Energy for International Development in May of 2010. This is a 3-credit course that will combine 10 days of field work in Costa Rica with 8 weeks of additional online instruction. The course will be taught by faculty
from MATC and Solar Energy International. The college welcomes
participants from schools and organizations nationwide. All interested individuals are encouraged to apply, and special efforts will be made to assist newcomers to renewable energy and first time international travelers.

The May class will include hands-on installation of a small scale
anaerobic digestion bio-gas system, as well as a small solar electric system. Additional tours and inspections of wind and hydropower installations may be included as time permits. Additional details on the course are included in the attached pdf files. If you are interested in registering for the course, we encourage that you do so quickly since the number of available spaces is limited. Registration for the course is already underway.
