This workshop has been designed to introduce participants to the emerging technology of computational science for the Ohio job market. The hands-on activities will show participants how easy it is to integrate computational science into their STEM classes and help them meet the Ohio Academic Content Standards in this area. This will be a great opportunity to network with fellow Ohio STEM educators. Participants will be introduced to the virtual school of computational science at RRSCS. For those who are interested, information about how to develop a baccalaureate minor or associate degree in computational science at their institution will be presented.
Stipend Opportunity
The workshop is an NSF-grant funded activity; therefore, there are a limited number of stipends available to offset travel expenses. There will be a stipend of $100 per day (May 10TH and 11th) for the first 65 registrants! For the first 60 registrants traveling more than 150 miles one way, we will provide a one-night (May 10) paid overnight stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in North Canton, Ohio.
