Merced College, in collaboration with Hands On Solar, Inc., National Science Foundation ATE Regional Center (CREATE), and The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC), sponsored by the US Department of Energy, is happy to announce a free half-day workshop on April 30, 2010, for colleges and schools that are interested in starting effective programs in solar energy, weatherization, energy efficiency, and related technologies. This event would also apply to schools that wish to enhance existing green programs. IREC is committed to training that is based on industry-set learning objectives and standards. The workshop will include information on the newly updated Entry Level Exam program offered by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) and the IREC/ ISPQ connection.
