This workshop will explore how a geospatial system can assist in making an informed decision through the use of geospatial information technology system. The concept of the workshop is how to visualize data that has a spatial orientation. The participants will learn how to take data that is contained within a spreadsheet and display it spatially. This will include displaying the data via address or position latitude and longitude as well as how to summarize data and display the summary information. The concepts geocoding and summation of data through the COUNTIF function of Excel will be done. Online basemaps will be utilized. No previous knowledge of GIS is required. Online video and documentation will be available to the participants for reference and continued study after the workshop.
