The Cisco Networking Academy has released a new CCNA level network security curriculum for Fall 2009. The new course provides students with in-depth network security education and a comprehensive understanding of network security concepts. The course is designed to provide students with hands-on knowledge and skills, emphasizing practical experience needed for entry-level job roles in network security. This curriculum reflects the latest network security technologies and provides hands-on exercises. The hands-on exercises teach installation, troubleshooting and monitoring of network devices to maintain integrity, confidentiality and availability of data and devices. The class is designed to prepare students for CCNA Security certification (IINS 640-553 exam). There is a mandatory orientation meeting and capstone session scheduled for this training. Orientation is June 25th from 8:30-12:30p.m. - webex. The training will be June 30th - July 2nd @ Florida State College in room 227. The capstone session is TBA. One week prior to the orientation, registrants will receive the class agenda, curriculum and labs via e-mail.
