This workshop focuses on the fundamentals of writing POGIL activities. Participants will analyze a POGIL activity using the Learning Cycle and consider the types of questions that support the learning process within a POGIL activity. Participants will use the rubrics designed by The POGIL Project to analyze an activity.

After discussion of the characteristics of a successful POGIL activity, teams of participants will construct a POGIL activity based on the Learning Cycle. These newly written activities will be analyzed using the Learning Cycle Rubric.

Participants who have already written POGIL activities are encouraged to bring their work for coaching and author feedback. This workshop is intended for both new and experienced POGIL authors.
