Attend the three-day Building Basic Android (Droid) Applications using Google App Inventor workshop on June 15-17, 2011 at a cost of $350, at RIT/NTID in Rochester, NY. The workshop will be held daily from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
You can build many different types of apps with App Inventor. Many people start with games of various sorts, however, building apps in not limited to games. App inventor can control databases and interact with the web. In this workshop, we will use various tutorials and emulators to make visual blocks (rather than coding) to design the behavior of the application for your hand-held device. Hand-held Android devices and computers will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own droid device if you have one.
