Join us for the first annual Florida Engineering Technology Summer Institute. Our goals for this new
professional development opportunity are multifold:
• Introduce participants to emerging technologies
• Provide networking and community building opportunities
• Provide resources to support classroom teaching
• Provide professional development for teachers and faculty of all engineering technologies
FLATE and the National Science Foundation recognize the importance for faculty to keep current with
advances in their field and expand their expertise. FLATE is pleased to offer this Summer Institute
free of charge and will offer a $250 stipend to all attendees who participate. Lodging will be provided
for those living over 50 miles from the location of the Institute (Wednesday & Thursday nights: 6/15-16).
