This five day class will instruct the student on automating some basic tasks commonly seen in the information security field. We start with some fundamentals of scripting and move on solve various problems using what we have learned. The class projects include scripts for testing "lighting up" an IDS, basic password guesser, basic network application fuzzer. We will spend some time on the last day working on student suggested problem scenarios. Prequisite: Basic knowledge of Linux operating system is required.
