Interested in incorporating more local environmental science issues and problem-based learning into the classroom? Join East Coast MARE for a training on spatial literacy. In the unit, students are exposed to a problem-based Human Impact adventure in which they practice spatial literacy skills and make informed decisions about development around the Barnegat Bay. While doing this, they also learn a great deal about the bay ecosystem, seagrass biology, satellite imagery, and the processes of science and management.
