QGIS is a powerful free open source GIS software package that runs on Windows, OSX and Linux.  This workshop will introduce the participants to the basics of GIS using QGIS.  At the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to:

• Understand the concepts of open source GIS
• Add data into QGIS
• Analyze data through certain tools including:
• Selections - by attribute or location
• Clipping Data
• Creating finalized maps

No past knowledge of GIS or QGIS is needed.
