Did you know that myriad products are manufactured in Florida? From Airplanes to Zener diodes, many goods are made in high-tech businesses throughout the state. These businesses employ individuals from a wide variety of STEM and Business fields. This workshop is appropriate for 6-12 educators in a variety of content areas, including STEM, CTE, and Social Studies–or anyone interested in learning more about these innovative careers. After the movie, Dr. Marilyn Barger of the Florida Advanced Technological Education Center (FLATE) will present some excellent Florida Standards-based lessons aligned to the Made in Florida movie. In addition, we are pleased to feature Scientific League, who will provide insights into the making of the film.

Teachers who attend the workshop will receive a Made in Florida video and Teacher’s Guide with lessons aligned to Florida Standards.
