The Developmental Math Demonstration Project, supported by Lumina Foundation, aimed to transform developmental math instructional pedagogy and improve student outcomes through the use of open educational resources (i.e. Khan Academy). Through the project, over 25 math faculty in 13 New England community college classrooms have tested free Khan Academy learning resources with more than 1,000 students over the last three years.

At this intimate, discussion-driven conference, you will hear candidly from college faculty, community college administrators, and the project team on what worked and what did not work. We will review the case for developmental math reform, share what we learned about implementing Khan Academy in developmental math classrooms, and review the role of institutional leaders in supporting instructional innovations.
