The opening plenary will focus on ways scientific research is informing human rights practice. Examples include findings from behavioral psychology about what motivates action for human rights, innovative ways to monitor impacts of interventions for social change, and new research on activist burnout. Workshops will provide training in leading volunteer teams and opportunities to develop communications plans for sharing human rights resources within STEM associations. The meeting also will include facilitated sessions for Coalition members to share their experiences and, working together, to strengthen and advance the Coalition’s goals
