Barbara Murray, SMART Center PI and Executive Director, will participate in this webinar on "Apprenticeships and Internships" produced by the NSF ATE's Centers Collaborative for Technical Assistance (CCTA). The CCTS is an ATE-funded initiative to share best practices and “know how” primarily from people with years of experience in the NSF ATE community with Department of Labor TAACCCT grantees and other NSF ATE grantees. Barbara will speak about the SMART Center's Maritime Technologies pathway which is built on the registered apprenticeship model and is the only one in the NSF ATE community that does so. The Maritime Technologies pathway has been recognized by the DOL and DOLT as an innotiave, groundbreaking pathway for producing more registered apprentices and technicians that can be replicated nationwide.
