Survey to Validate Profile of the "Data Practitioner"

Recently a national panel of data analysis experts met in Boston to create an occupational profile of the Data Practitioner- an entry level position in data/ big data that can be found in a variety of industries. The development of the profile is part of an ATE project led by Education Development Center (EDC) that will assist four community colleges to develop career pathways aimed at preparing students for data/ big data related careers, including jobs like those described by the panel. The profile identifies the work activities, skills, knowledge and behaviors expected of proficient Data Practitioners. EDC is looking for individuals experienced in the work of data analysis and reporting, who can review and comment on the profile by taking a 30 minute online survey found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DataPractitioner. Reviewers comments will help finalize the profile which will be used by community college faculty as a resource for designing curricula and courses.
