Delgado Community College is hosting the Protein is Cash workshop and Introduction to Biomanufacturing.

This is a hands-on laboratory workshop for High School Science Teachers.

Presented by Dr. Bill Woodruff of The Northeast Biomanufacturing Center and Collaborative (NBC2), a National Science Foundation Advanced Technology Education regional center that has been in existence since 2005.

This 4 day hands on workshop includes:

• Transforming cells with foreign genes
• Maximizing protein production and purification
• Quality control
• Biomanufacturing career pathways
• Tour of a local biotechnology facility
• Continental breakfast & lunch each day
• $55.00 per day stipend
