RCNET would like to invite you to a 1 ½ day workshop focused on upgrading nuclear curriculum to capture lessons learned from recent nuclear incidents and adding emerging technologies.

As nuclear facilities age, it is critical that community colleges continuously evolve to capture lessons from events such as the recent tunnel collapse at the Hanford nuclear site, the fire at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in New Mexico, and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster.  Experts knowledgeable on these events will be discussing these incidents and how you can embed them in your programs.

Also, critical to the future of nuclear technology is the adoption of automation, robotics, and co-robotics into both teaching and training environments and in the fields. Robotics are beneficial in technical fields for safety, liability, and performance enhancement; nuclear fields are a fusion of all these issues. Technicians that become familiar and comfortable with the use of these emerging technologies during their education will become leaders of employing them into practice.  This workshop will cover curriculum and best practices to add robotics into your nuclear college program.
