MNT-EC is holding a Summer Seminar Series every Wednesday, August thru November. Each seminar will feature one of the MNT-EC's very own members who will talk about their summer of 2021 professional development opportunities. Opportunities include writing groups, clean room labs, nano safety and other exciting hands on activities.
This session will focus on the presentation of key data points on STEM education and barriers to STEM success, with a specific focus on underrepresented subgroups in STEM: Black, Latinx, Native American, those with disabilities, foster youth. Additionally, the presenter will use case studies to illuminate and discuss challenges to diversification within the STEM community. Further, the presenter will discuss literature and resources for self-paced learning and development in the area of STEM education.
