MNT-EC is holding a Summer Seminar Series every Wednesday, August thru November. Each seminar will feature one of the MNT-EC's very own members who will talk about their summer of 2021 professional development opportunities. Opportunities include writing groups, clean room labs, nano safety and other exciting hands on activities.
Virtual reality simulations are fun, but can also be used to great educational effect when training is combined with the fun. In this seminar, the presenter will discuss modules designed for training students to use nanotechnology equipment and complete processes which they complete before encountering the real equipment in the laboratory. The presenter will show sample clips from some of these modules and discuss the design considerations for building them as well as some initial feedback from the students who have used them in class.
