Join organizers for an intensive 3-day workshop to prepare community college faculty to submit papers to peer-reviewed journals. This online workshop is led by Peter Kazarinoff, MNT-EC co-PI and faculty at Portland Community College. Organizers will cover how peer-reviewed journals work, as well as how to write, submit, review, edit and publish in peer-reviewed journals to advance in your career. Stipends available for qualified faculty.

Day 1 Introduction: peer-reviewed journals, why publish, finding journals
Day 2 Peer-review journal process, writing
Day 3 Reviewing for journals, wrap-up, formation of writers and reviewers

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the peer-reviewed journal write/review/revise/publish process
  2. List at least one journal you can publish your work in
  3. Explain the parts of a peer-reviewed journal submission
