The C-TEaCH Academy is a paid professional development opportunity for STEM & CTE faculty.  The C-TEaCH Academy strives to connect local science and career/technical educators to real-world laboratory applications found within the Chemical Technology field.  Through this experience, educators will be able apply what they have learned to help improve the science curricula throughout CFCC's service area.  Chemical Technology faculty and staff hope that participating teachers will inform their students of this academic and career path at their home institutions.

During the ten-day training seminar, educators will be exposed to wet laboratory techniques, the concept of quality control, how regulatory agencies influence laboratory environments, and hands-on training with state-of-the-art analytical equipment. Attendees will be presented an array of laboratory activities that will include a focus on forensics, environmental, pharmaceutical, food/beverage, and cosmetic industries.  Teaching strategies will also be shared to help you enhance the educational experience you are providing to your own students.
