Joshua Steele Ph.D. from the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project will present on uses of advanced PCR such as real-time and digital droplet PCR in his water quality research.

Prior to Dr. Steele's presentation, Michelle Racey Ph.D. from Bio-Rad Laboratories will provide an introduction to the advanced PCR technologies and applications used in Dr Steele's research, and following Dr. Steele's presentation, Betsy Boedeker from St. Louis Community College and Leigh Brown from the Bio-Rad Explorer Program will discuss strategies for introducing these applications to students.
