Claire Guion and Maranda Thanasiu from Andelyn Biosciences, a gene therapy contract development and manufacturing organization based in Ohio, will present on uses of real-time and digital droplet PCR in viral vector development and manufacturing and careers in this type of Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO).
Prior to Andelyn's presentation, Michelle Racey Ph.D. from Bio-Rad Laboratories will provide an introduction on advanced PCR technologies and applications used in Andelyn's work, and following Andelyn's presentation, Betsy Boedeker from St. Louis Community College and Leigh Brown from the Bio-Rad Explorer Program will discuss strategies for introducing these applications to students.
