This curriculum, derived from global best practices and featuring interactive and innovative educational styles, is designed for professionals with interest in Coastal Management at all experience levels in the practice of Coastal and Marine Spatial Planning (CMSP).

This online course provides an intermediate-level focus on environmental social marketing strategies. Students will focus in detail on how to plan and implement a social marketing strategy, using 3-5 topics within social marketing of your choosing. 

This course is an intermediate complementary course to the DEL online course “Environmental Communications for Behavior Change”, which provides a practical overview of a social marketing campaign.  We encourage students to take both classes; they are fundamentally different, yet complementary.

AAPA’s Annual Convention continues to be the largest membership meeting of the year. The 2015 Convention in Miami will represent the 104th in AAPA’s history.

This year, more than 500 attendees are expected, mainly senior and executive management personnel from port authorities and suppliers to the port and marine industries.

The RCNET Nuclear e-Learning Challenge gives your school (9th – 12th & community colleges) an opportunity to earn $2,000 for your classes.

This challenge is a free on-line training program that helps students gain knowledge about nuclear science and careers in the nuclear industry.

The course is interactive and full of information.  It will take you about 45 minutes to complete and has to be completed in 1 sitting (not able to save).

How do you win?
The school that has the most students register and complete the course will determine the winner.

Challenge Details
This challenge is comprised of 3 parts.

1st – The student will take a pre-test (hint: they should pay close attention to the questions, they may see them again!)

2nd – The student will then watch the interactive video (~40 minutes)

3rd – The student will finish by completing the post-test.

This course is an introduction to the concepts and application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The course presents conceptual and practical discussions of the analysis of spatial information with the addition of exercises using the ESRI ArcGIS suite of applications. The class is designed to provide a basic introduction to GIS including spatial data structures and sources, spatial tools, spatial data display and query, map generation, and basic spatial analysis using ArcGIS software.

This webinar is for faculty, instructors, staff, and administrators who want to gather feedback about their ATE course or program through student surveys. Using a case study as an example, participants in this interactive webinar will identify common pitfalls in survey design, discuss strategies for improvement, and apply lessons learned to their own ATE content.

Sessions will be populated with talks on applications, effects and implications, analytical methods, and lifecycle aspects of nanomaterials within each system. Participants at the Mapping and Geospatial Workshop will receive maps and imagery to take back to their schools. Much of the day will be devoted to online resources - using ArcGIS Online to create maps, and accessing high-quality imagery from Pictometry, Inc. The ultimate goal of this PD is to prepare teachers for outdoor experiences with their students. They need to use the mapping resources to decide on places in their part of the watershed that merit additional study.

This workshop is appropriate for 6-12 educators in a variety of content areas, including STEM, CTE, and Social Studies–or anyone interested in learning more about these innovative careers. After the movie, Dr. Marilyn Barger of the Florida Advanced Technological Education Center (FLATE) will present some excellent Florida Standards-based lessons aligned to the Made in Florida movie.
