Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) are the building blocks for the next big wave of employment in the United States. Companies such as IBM, Samsung, and Global Foundries are in dire need of highly skilled technicians to meet the demand of their growing businesses, especially in the fields of Nano science and semiconductor manufacturing. Northeast Advanced Technological Education Center (NEATEC) is here to meet that demand by introducing STEM based learning modules to students and educators in New York State and the greater New England area. By engaging the future workforce through exciting hands on activities the gap between education and employment can be bridged.
