Semiconductor Manufacturing Technician Skill Standards

This 96-page resource, made available by Maricopa Advanced Technology Education Center (MATEC), provides skill standards for semiconductor manufacturing technicians. Skill standards are defined as "specific statements of desired skill and knowledge presented in an observable and measurable form." Included in the document is an overview of and background information on skill standards, the skill standards themselves, and 4 appendices featuring additional information.

Each of the 22 skill standards includes two to eight "Skill Standard Statements" that stipulate the various conditions, behaviors, and standards. Included with every Skill Standard Statement is a ranking of the following qualities for the first six months on the job: Importance, Proficiency, Frequency, and Difficulty.
