One of a series of seven videos on semiconductors, this 28-minute companion to Silicon Run I covers back-end semiconductor manufacturing and computer manufacturing. It shows how fabricated IC wafers are tested, sorted, and packaged into microchips. Viewers will need a substantial background in electronics and some aspects of semiconductor processing to fully understand it. The video would be best suited for use as an enhancement to a semiconductor manufacturing course or a second year course in computer architecture. A short preview is available and the full DVD can be purchased online or by mail.
