This 4-page learning activity, from the Advanced Technology Environmental and Energy Center (ATEEC), demonstrates how epidemics are spread and the importance of condom use for preventing the spread of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. The activity is intended for high school or community college courses in environmental biology, biology, or an introductory environmental technology course. After completing the activity, students should be able to do the following:
State the importance of condoms in helping to prevent the spread of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
