A Low-Temperature Creep Experiment Using Common Solder

This experiment will help to illustrate creep in metals at room temperature. Step by step instructions are included for instructors to set up specimens to use in the demonstration. This activity would be appropriate for high school and college level students. The lesson should take about one week of class time; the class may spend a few minute per class period observing the experiment.
